Joyce Gray Piercy, 74, of Littleton, died Monday, March 11, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Piercy was born in Amityville, NY to the late Harry and Florence Wilkins Gray. She is also preceded in death by a great grandson, Brad Lee Shanahan.

She was a long time active member of Lake Gaston Baptist Church in Littleton.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest L. Piercy, Sr.; her two daughters, Tammy Piercy Waitt of Roanoke Rapids and Melissa Piercy Gordan and her husband, Robert, of Chesapeake, VA; her son, Ernest L. Piercy, Jr., and his wife, Cindy W. Piercy, of Chesapeake, VA; five grandchildren, Meighan Shanahan, Lindsey Piercy, Brandon Piercy, Joshua Watkins and Corey Gordon; and two great grandchildren, Wesley Shanahan and Kaleigh Berman.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Gaston Baptist Church in Littleton with Rev. Todd Stout officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
